Plans and usage
How the optional Harmony-routed model plan would work, what it does not change, and why Harmony stays free without one.
WARNING
Harmony-routed model credits and a weekly inference allowance are not for sale. This section describes that planned gateway product. It is not Harmony Cloud. Hosted compute, when offered, is sold separately as Harmony Cloud. See Harmony Cloud and pricing. Nothing on this page is a checkout for Cloud.
Harmony is free. It runs on your machine, works with your own provider API keys or with local models, and does not require an account. That is the whole product, not a trial of it.
The optional plan described here would add one thing: model access routed through Harmony, so you can use many models without holding a separate subscription with each provider. That product has not launched.
Harmony Cloud is a different product: hosted compute for agents that need to keep working when your laptop cannot. Current Cloud prices live on pricing, not in this section.
What a plan does not change
Worth stating first, because it is the part people reasonably worry about:
- The application stays free, with every feature it has today.
- Your own API keys keep working, and those requests go straight from your machine to the provider. They never touch our servers. See Provider accounts and keys.
- Local models keep working, with no account and no network.
- Third-party agent harnesses keep working. Harmony launches the vendor's own CLI, which authenticates itself. We do not touch those credentials.
- A gateway outage does not affect any of the above. If our servers are down, only Harmony-provided model access stops.
A Harmony plan does not give you access to another company's subscription. If you pay for Claude or ChatGPT, those agreements are yours and stay yours.
How the plan works
| Weekly allowance | Released every 7 days. Does not roll over. |
| Purchased credits | Bought separately. Do not expire. Used after the allowance. |
| Platform fee | A percentage of a purchase, shown separately at checkout. |
| Billing | Monthly, cancel any time, access until the period you paid for ends. |
The allowance is the part most worth understanding before you decide, so it has its own page.
What we record
We record what a run cost: which model, how many tokens, how many credits.
We do not store your prompts, the model's output, or your file contents. They stream through the gateway and are not written down. This is checked by a test that fails if any billing table gains a column that could hold them.
Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires. If you delete your account, your usage history and devices are deleted and payment records are retained with your identity removed.
Card details are handled by our payment processor and never reach us.
Where to look
- Weekly allowance — how it resets, and why it does not roll over
- Credits — what a credit is, what the fee covers
- Checking your usage — in the app, on the web, and from the terminal
- When you run out — what stops, and what does not
- Harmony Cloud — hosted compute, the product you can buy today
